Steven Ryon has over 20 years of in-depth national and international business acumen in various  industries. He worked for 10 years in the distribution sector, first as Corporate HR Manager for the GIB-Group and later as Organizational & HR Development Director for Carrefour where he became the driving force of a worldwide project on career and talent management. For this he received the prestigious 'Bourget' Award in Paris at the worldwide convention of the Carrefour Group. He subsequently became Group HR Director and later Chief HR Officer of Beaulieu International Group, where he was member of the Executive Committee and also responsible for internal & external communication. In 2016 he was co-founder of a retail start-up and in 2022 he founded Corys | Management & HR Services. He served on several boards of directors, including the sector federation for the textile, wood and furniture industry (Fedustria), the Social Affairs Council, the Chamber of Commerce and the laminate and parquet holding Industrial Wood Flooring nv. He was involved in the start-up of the Career Management Research Center at the Vlerick Management School, member of the Strategic Rewards Center and guest lector at the Business Management Foundation. Steven studied Business Management at the KU Leuven, achieved a Master in HRM at the Vlerick Management School and Board & Director Effectiveness at the Institute for Directors Guberna.
